Europeans traded muskets with food and water from the Maori's. The musket killed over 20,000 people.
In New Zealand around 1820 and 1830 there were around 150 european Whalers.
The Missionaries introduced new technology like farming. The British also introduced the maoris into talking and writing in Maori.
In 1920, 2 ngapuhi chiefs went to England, with King George The 4th.
